Timeless Gold - Kinkaku-ji in Sleet: This photograph captures Kyoto's iconic Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji) by deliberately seeking out the most challenging conditions: a cold winter day with sleet. By choosing a rarely visited vantage point and embracing the solitude that poor weather affords, I successfully strips the scene of all modern traces. The resulting image transports the viewer back over 600 years, offering a rare, pure glimpse of the pavilion where time stands still, proving that unconventional thinking can reveal the true, unspoiled essence of a landmark. The intentional isolation of the pavilion in the sleet reflects the mind’s ability to filter chaos and noise, finding timeless purity and historical depth through quiet focus.
